Gorna Banya Metro Station: Schedule, Lines & Map

Gorna Banya station is a station on Metro Line M3, opened on 24 April 2021 as part of Phase II of the line. It is the western terminus of Line M3. The station is located in the western part of the Ovcha Kupel 2 residential district, set perpendicular to the Ring Road, at the intersection of Tsentralna Street and Boycho Boychev Street. The station is fully underground with a deep-level construction, necessitated by the dividing hill situated nearby. Access is provided via a pedestrian tunnel beneath the Ring Road, with two lateral connections into the platform hall. The station is equipped with a reversing siding for turning trains around. A notable feature is its intermodal connection with the national railway network — the adjacent rail stop is served by all express and passenger trains on the Sofia–Pernik–Radomir–Dupnitsa–Kulata/Petrich and Sofia–Radomir–Kyustendil routes, making the station a unique transport interchange. A park-and-ride facility with over 230 spaces is located next to the station, intended primarily for commuters arriving from Pernik.
